There are many types of anchors, roughly divided into four types: pole anchor, pole free anchor, large claw force anchor, and special anchor, with over ten types of anchors.
1. Rod anchor
Anchors with crossbars are rod anchors. The characteristic of this type of anchor is that a claw engages in the soil, and when the anchor is dragged on the seabed, the crossbar can prevent the claw from tipping over, playing a stabilizing role. There are naval anchors, Layman anchors, single claw anchors, and Japanese anchors among the pole anchors.
2. Rodless anchor
A two jaw anchor without a crossbar and with rotating claws is a rodless anchor. The characteristic of this type of anchor is that two claws simultaneously engage in the soil during operation, with good stability, strong adaptability to various soil types, and convenient storage. The development of pole less anchors is rapid, and it has progressed from the first generation to the third generation. The commonly used rodless anchors include Hall anchor,Spike anchor, AC-14 anchor, and DA-1 anchor
3. High grip anchor
A high grip anchor is actually a type of rod rotating claw anchor,
which is called a high grip anchor due to its high grip to weight ratio.
The
characteristic of this type of anchor is that the anchor claw has a
large soil area, a deep and
abundant bottom material, and a very strong grip. However, the anchor
claw is prone to breakage and inconvenient tostore. There are Mahalanobi
anchor, Danfour anchor, speedboat anchor, Schringer anchor, and Starto
anchor among the high grip anchors.
4. Special anchor
The shape and purpose of special anchors are different from ordinary anchors. Mainly refers to permanent mooring anchors used for buoys, storage ships, floating docks, etc;Ice anchors used on ice breakers and floating anchors used on sailboats and small boats.
